Blur

I really need to buy a camera.  The Iphone cameras have worn down or the lenses are scratched.
A little laser tag with 20 teenagers in a 3 story venue = SWEAT!  Oh, and some fun. Girls v Boys.  Boys won twice.
I'd love to say that Alicia knew that I was taking this pic, but this is her normal stance.  She also dances in the commissary even though I have repeatedly reminded her that we are in PUBLIC!

My favorite pic because everyone is in hysterics at this point of the bull riding adventure.
 Look Ma!  No hands!
Oh, Look Ma!  A should and neck burn!

This is my healing air hockey injury.  Yes, 22 years later - Alex's competitive streak comes out and he doesn't care whose finger is where!  He gave me a goal after my fingernail went instantly blue.

Earthquake

Lily no likey the earthquakes.  This is her readiness pose.

Twentieth

 View from the Hard Rock
Despite the wretched storm these Gondolas were filled with tourists within 10 minutes of us sitting down.
We got to the Hard Rock at 11 for lunch.  We had to wait for a bit.  The hostess said, "We don't open @11, we open after 11."  OF course!  We're in Italia after all.
Did we pick the right place to eat?  Can't argue with a little thing like SC!  Always good to be reminded that you have a home.
What, what?  A little Billy Idol blaring!
Definitely picked the right place to eat!

Me: "I'd like to take a normal picture of you and our view."
Sr.: "What?  This is my normal face."

Lucky Girl - he never ceases to surprise me.  Told him that I was too old to read the tiny screen on my Iphone.   One of my gifts -  a white Ipad.  Me?  An Ipad?  Shocked for sure! Would have fussed for him to take it back, but he said he ate the receipt.  It's so cool to be able to read the screen without my "cheater readers".  I also got a cool leather purse in Venice.  E bought one there last month and I was j.e.a.l.o.u.s.
p.s. We've decided to go for 21 years!  I'll let you know how it goes!

Carnival

We are a short walk from the center of town. We noticed a lot of people walking and riding bikes toward the center of town on Sunday afternoon. It's not abnormal, but we didn't notice people walking back from town. So, the super parents, sent their only two children to see what was happening. One minute after they were out the door they called us to tell us they saw confetti on the sidewalk and could hear music. We were greeted with this sight above. We knew it was going to be awesome!

Town center.
The stuff of nightmares.

A lil' Alan Jackson music.
Attacked!

Bye, Bye, Balloons!

Sr. really liked this one...
Maggie was out to get us.
Innocent Marge
Nope, she/he stuffed this lady's boots full of confetti.

Jelly!
If you let me take one more picture, I will buy you a Nutella Fritta!
Wait, after a pic with the Kinder float - then the Nutella thing.
I want to be a kid!

Two hours of a parade with the added fun of the crowd dressed up in costumes. It's like Halloween for the Italian kids. Plenty of adults dressed up, too. Fun way to end a weekend

Almost 17

She didn't like it - allegedly. (He, did.)
We went to a German restaurant in honor of R&E. It's named Bierengel (Beer Angel). Brawts, ribs, chicken, and potatoes. Oh, and beer.

Two of My Loves

One is the cappuccino! No Starbucks in our part of Italy. Italians wouldn't pay $$ for a caffe. A cappuccino ranges from .75 to 1.50 euro. They're so tasty! I just got mine from my local bar. I met two Jehova Witnesses on my walk. No kidding, they are a faithful bunch. They didn't know English - whew. Plus, I did keep repeating that I'm Catholic.
