We set out for a fun packed day on our little island. We felt like the ocean was closing in on us and we needed to get out! We spent most of the day at our favorite park. We hit a huge 100 yen store (dollar store) and of course Starbucks. The park we go to is normally filled with hobos. Oddly there were no homeless people in sight and we could relax and enjoy our trip. It was a nice change! Alex has a hard time when we travel through the streets. It's more convenient to walk, but walking means encountering a vast number of hobos. They always range from passive to aggressive. There is one particular lady that he donates his money to on our trips out. I look at it as a life lesson. Life is all about choices.
On to happier things! This little angel caught our eye and heart. She was just precious. Americans are the minority and the Okinawans (especially children) tend to stare at us like we're a novelty. It's always nice to find the wee ones who don't notice the differences!
