Taiko Boy

Alex is in a Taiko group at school. This is the traditional drumming of the Japanese. It is used for almost every ceremony. It involves a lot of drumming, twisting, rocking, etc. These pics are from a late night performance at school.

Spring Fest

On Saturday, we traipsed around a little on base festival. If you click the picture to make it big you can read Alicia's shirt. She's holding a rocket launcher and her shirt says SAVE THE WORLD.

Alicia has her own camera now. She can set a timer and do her favorite thing which is self-portraits. Sometimes she gets a bit bored. Her new hobby is to style Alex's hair and pose him. He's always a willing participant!

Stylin'

Alicia is modeling some of her birthday presents. Grandma gave her a "Peace" bag that she uses for her school books. Auntie Erin sent the kewl shoes. Auntie Wendy gave Alicia the Okinawan charm and Melanie rounded out the backside with some cute dorm shorts. Alicia says, "Domo Arigato!"

Chorus

Alicia's KMS Chorus treated us to a spring concert. At the beginning of the concert a special tribute to her science teacher that passed away was played for the audience. It was too emotional for the members to sing live.

The weather was rainy Friday night.

This Lauren, Alicia, Anna, and Aki. Ally was sick and couldn't come. There is a loft at the top that could sleep 6. The room on the right had 2 bunkbed sets, and the living room had a fold out futon.
