Homecoming

Strike a pose!

Alicia's #1 Fan
She told him that she was leaving for the evening.

He thinks that she should stay.

Well, didn't think this was a good sign when Alex and I got home from our Friday night date.
Whew, turned out that the house was still standing! (Just looking for some earplugs.)

Classroom

Made the sign with the Cricut.

My corner of the world.

I made the curtains! They are prettier when the blinds are up, but it's soooooooo hot. Remind me of this when I am freezing. No AC in the public schools.

SmartBoard - the kids drag their names to the right side of the board when they arrive in the morning. I have a morning calendar that involves interaction with this board. The students run the show and of course love getting up and interacting with the board.

This board goes with our reading series. We won't start that for another week. I just love the old fashioned school chair. It is the most comfortable chair for people under 5ft.

Fantastic group of kids!

First Day

Did you know that this cool cat can drive herself to school?
Alex and Leila (I was sneaky and took the pic from the car, but Leila's dad videoed the morning and embarrassed her to death. It's middle school!)

Lindsay's little cousin

Yes, Daddy did think that skirt was too short.

Alex's Bday

A fun group of twelve!

Our Leila - after being stationed together for the last 3 bases... she's moving to Turkey. Not sure how Alex will survive.

She cracks me up.

The kids started a whirlpool here.

No decorating - just pizza, drinks, and cake.

Pet friendly hotel. We brought the cats - didn't see Lily until this morning. Marshall was so happy to explore.

This is shaved Marshall. He loves being more aerodynamic.

Yep, bit of a crisis. Big A made the cake. =)

We were all wiped out, but it was a blast. Love staying at this hotel.

Wow!

Yeehaw!
That's right - pull your truck up to the stage.

Knew it was going to be good from the moment her foot hit the stage. She is a ball of energy.

These two interact the entire concert and they're nuts.

So much fun!

She is gorgeous inside and out. She interacted with fans, commented on posters, pointed to different fans, gave high-fives, etc. OH, and she can sing!

Lady in the chair is Jennifer's mother. She loves her mama!

My guys. Alicia dumped us for some of her friends.

No words - so funny.
I forgot to mention that this girl must have been a ballet dancer. She glides across the floor and dances beautifully. Going to be hard to go to sleep. I did record Oooooo ooooo ooooo, all I wanna doooo oooooo oooooo as my new ring tone. (Okay, Alex recorded it for me and then tomorrow I'll have him make it my ring tone.)

A little Ruck-us!

Grand Stand Stage -you just drive your tour bus up to the back. We're classy that way.
It was so hot - like 80 degrees.

A little Darius in Minot. The girls beside us got to meet him and said he was super skinny.

He sang some of his stuff, other people's stuff, and a little Blowfish stuff.

He did an encore, but the crowd wouldn't go away so he came back out. Charleston scenes were floating on his backdrop - making us a little homesick.

Singing about Myrtle Beach and crazy girls!
